Are you a charming and chic fashionista who is passionate about protecting the world we live in? Are you someone who loves flora and fauna and all inanimate beauty of our planet as much as your own good looks? Then the emerging trend of GREEN FASHION is for you. At last, being eco-friendly does not require you to become a hippy. It is finally ‘fashionable’ to be green!

“Eco-Fashion” or “green-fashion” is nothing but chic designer clothing that has been produced in a sustainable way, using environmental friendly material and production methods. In eco-fashion production, attention is paid to the impact made by the product and waste products, the manufacturing process and the overall energy consumption. This means as a consumer of green-fashion, you will be questioning where and how the clothes were made and even how the cotton was grown etc.

The latest green fashions consist of fabrics made of organic raw materials such as pure cotton, silk and hemp, and even corn and bamboo fiber, grown without exposure to herbicides and pesticides. Accessories made of recycled plastics and polymers, as well as from the fiber of exotic plants like soya, a product of seaweed and Lyocell called sea cell, and Sasawashi, a famous Japanese organic product made from Kumazasa herb. Eco-fashion is also strictly against the use of bleach, artificial and harmful dyes and other dangerous chemicals.

Another important aspect of eco-friendly fashion takes the humanitarian side of the fashion industry into account. It requires ensuring the health of the consumer, as well as that of the people involved in the production, from the cotton farmers to the factory workers. Fair wages and workers’ right must also be guaranteed.

Eco-fashion will directly lead to an increase in the growth of trees and do minimum damage to nature during production. Indirectly, it will also improve the health of consumers and workers. But most importantly it will motivate the public to be more conscious and loving towards our planet.

For all of you gorgeous women, and of course, all of you stunning men out there, this is a stylish way to make a change in the way the fashion industry and other related fields function, and to eventually ensure the sustainability and wellbeing of our planet.
